NORTH MOUNTAIN 4 WHEELER RIDE

A couple of weeks ago, John and I went to New Harmony and unloaded out bikes at Dad's house. We visited with Brent for a while and then he rode up to the cattle guard in his pick up. We followed him up there and he rode on the back of John's bike up to change his water that goes to the flat. We had never been there before so it was interesting for us and fun. We came back to the cattle guard and he and his dogs took off for town and John and I went up on north mountain. We stopped under some big oak trees and ate our lunches. Then we found a beautiful pond that we had never seen before and took some photos there. Then we went down the Kanarra side until just before we got to Harmony Mountain Ranches subdivision and we turned off on a road to the south. We ran into two guys who were making kind of a fire break for the BLM. One was a Cox and the other one was a Roundy. They showed us how their big tree ripper worked and we talked with them for a while. We came down the mountain from there on the trees that they had knocked down and ripped apart. It's a wonder we didn't have flat tires from the pointed edges on the tree remains, but we didn't. We ran into the dirt road that goes from Kanarra to Harmony and followed it back to Harmony. Fun, fun day. Lots of beautiful wild flowers.
