Janet had her apron done before most of us had started.
Rosilee and Sonja doing some serious
talking...class reunion maybe?
On Thursday, the 8th of July, a bunch of friends got together to sew and visit and laugh. We had plans to go to the Schoppmann cabin on the Mammoth, but Gaona's granddaughter, Hayley, had to have a procedure done on her throat, and Gaona didn't want to stray too far from home and we didn't blame her, so we met on my back deck. Ladies brought their sewing machines, irons, food and fabric. Sorry, Donna, we didn't come to the Happy Factory this week, but we sure had lots of fun. We met at 9:30 a.m. and except for Janet, who got done with her sewing and left at about two, everyone stayed until 5:30 or so. Gaona brought a delicious pasta salad and watermelon and everyone else brought something to eat or snack on. (Sorry, I can't remember who brought what ). We ate lunch about noon and kept on eating until we were done. Don't know how we got hungry because we started on Sonja's good crunchy stuff and ate it all morning. Rosa Lee Stucki taught us how to do pillowcases with no raw edged seams showing and also two different kinds of aprons. She had lots of patience with all of us. We were mostly interested in sitting around and visiting and she had to do alot of our stuff for us. We had a great day and enjoyed each others company. Thanks, friends for a wonderful day!! P.S. Hayley is OK!!
