Yesterday about 2:30 p.m., John and I took off in the Honda to Cedar Mountain. We stopped at midway first to take photos of the leaves. Then on up to Duck Creek where we stopped to take more photos of the pond and the leaves and the ducks. John found a little old lady from Nebraska to talk to about where to go and what to do. So, we were there for quite a while. Then we went on to John and Sonja Black's Cabin to visit them for a while and watch the deer and chipmunks. They fed us some chips and strawberry salsa, which was sure good, and then we were on our way to take more photos. We turned at the Mammoth Road and went to the junction and turned towards Cedar Breaks. This was the most beautiful stretch of road that I have seen in a long time (well, since last Saturday on Monroe Mountain). The leaves were so pretty that it was hard to leave them. We took lots of photos and by the time we were coming out of Cedar Breaks, it was getting dusk and we saw all kinds of deer, even a buck. It was a fun day. It was so smokey when we left Cedar that I thought it was pointless to go take photos, but on top, there was no smoke at all. There was smoke down in the Zion overlook, and down in Cedar Breaks, but not on top at all. Great day!!

Looks like fun, we haven't been up the mountain at all this fall,,, missing the colors it is so beautiful up there...
