On Monday, the 26th of March, we went to Whitney Pockets on a 4 wheeler ride. John and Sonja Black went and also my brother, Vernile and his wife, Elma Lynne. We left home at about 7:30 in the morning and arrived and got unloaded at about 11 a.m. It was a really nice day. We had lunch on some nice flat rocks that we used to sit on eat. We saw two different areas that had petro glyphs on the rocks that were really neat. We saw Lake Mead but could never work our way there. We kept coming to dead ends and places where it said we could go no further. When we were at the Falling Man petro glyphs, Vernile went on some rocks by himself and was looking up at something and went to fall, and caught himself with his arm. When he returned, he said he thought he had brokoen his wrist, but his elbow area was all swollen. He said it didn't hurt. We got back to the pick ups at about 6:30 and John and John Black loaded his machine for him and we headed home. We stopped in Mesquite to eat and he said he didn't want to go to the emergency room at the Mesquite Hospital. We got home at about eleven o'clock. The next day, we found out that Vernile had gone to the Dr. and he broke his wrist in two places and he is in a cast. But....he still had fun and so did the rest of us. It was good to go since the last time we went was in November, pine nut picking.
