OLD FOLKS NEW YEARS EVE 2008

Thanks to Vernile, we had a great party on New Year's Eve. He called and asked what we were doing and we hadn't made any plans, so we made some right there and then. We decided to have snacks left over from Christmas..or not...and play some games. So we invited the Schoppmans and Lowell and Sharon and the games began at 8 p.m. (About the time most of us are thinking about going to bed for the night.) So........it was a bit questionable if we would make it to see the New Year come in. Well, for all of our kids who think we probably couldn't, we played games.....trying to get Lowell to finally be the president of Scumville, until almost 2 a.m. We had good food, Vernile and Elma Lynne brought sweet and sour meatballs and some Mango salsa to die for and chips and the Schoppmanns brought a delicious veggie tray and dip and Lowell and Sharon brought some yummy pumpkin bread and freshly baked cookies. We had dip and chips and crackers and drinks and it was really fun. Gayona taught us a new game called "Kings", and Vernile and Elly taught us how to play Scum. Both games were really fun. I can see why the Gardner family likes playing Scum. We all made it to be president (eventually) except for Lowell.
