On September 1st, we met the Blacks and unloaded at the mouth of Summit Canyon for a fall ride to Brianhead for lunch. It was a beautiful day and we had a great ride. The leaves havn'e really started to turn yet, but it has been our experience that if we wait until later, we will either get rained or snowed on. It has been known to happen several times!! We ate at the Bump and Grind Deli in Brianhead. Great food........but we were almost through with our lunch before John Black got his. We thought we might have to leave him there. And.....you can't complain because they have funny signs all over the place to the contrary. On the way back, we rode up to Tink's Racetrack and to the trailhead for the Twisted Forest in the Ashdown Gorge. It was a great day.
